School/College Membership
If you received a degree from the School of Agriculture, Business, Education, Engineering, Family Studies, and Nursing, you are automatically enrolled in their alumni society group as well. These schools have joined with the UConn Alumni Association to offer additional services and benefits specific to their particular schools. A portion of your Association membership dues supports these programs.

Ability to Vote in Alumni Association Elections
One must be a graduate of the University of Connecticut and a current member of the University of Connecticut Alumni Association in order to vote in Alumni Association elections.

Alumni Legacy Scholarships
Children, grandchildren or siblings of Alumni Association members (*alums only) are eligible to apply for the UConn Legacy Scholarships. These scholarships will be awarded to current full-time UConn students who meet certain eligibility requirements. The scholarships are valued at $3,000.00 each.

Alumni Center Rental Discounts
Members are eligible to receive a 20% discount on renting the Alumni Center, which is available for meetings, weddings, showers, receptions, parties, luncheons and dinners, bar/bat mitzvahs and any special event.

Club Memberships

The Hartford Club
Members have the opportunity to join The Hartford Club and receive a one-third discount off the Hartford Club Initiation Fee. One must be considered a UConn alum and a current member to take advantage of this benefit.

The Williams Club - New York City
Members will have the opportunity to join, this beautiful private hotel, restaurant, and social club in midtown New York City, at a discounted rate. Centrally located near Grand Central Terminal, it offers numerous amenities for a business meeting or a comfortable overnight stay. Also, they have an extensive list of reciprocal clubs throughout the U.S.

Members can receive up to 50% off tickets to Broadway shows, sports events, concerts and other entertainment options.

Jorgensen Auditorium

Hartford Magazine
Hartford Magazine, the region’s premier lifestyle publication, contains timely coverage of the arts, entertainment, sports, politics, fashion, health and fitness, and restaurant reviews. Each issue profiles area personalities from all walks of life, and insights into Greater Hartford’s past, present and future. Members of the Alumni Association can take advantage of a $5 discount off of a one-year subscription rate or $10 discount off a two-year subscription.

Oxonian Society
UConn Alumni Association members can now enjoy the likes of Conan O’Brien, Jon Stewart, Tom Clancy and A-list speakers in person in the New York tri-state area.

Oxonian Society speakers have included such individuals as James Earl Jones, Moby (UConn alumnus), Malcolm Gladwell, the former British Prime Minister, Newt Gingrich, General Wesley Clark, and others.

Show your membership card and receive 10% off of your overnight guest room accommodations (based on best available rate). The Hilton Hartford Hotel, a four-diamond quality and service property, completed a $33 million renovation in March of 2005. Whether you need to lose weight, increase muscle or strength, reduce stress, improve sports performance or simply start to feel healthier, The Armory has everything you need to help you achieve your goal! The fitness center is located on the bottom floor in the Hawley Armory and is fully equipped with aerobic equipment such as treadmills, elliptical machines, resistance machines and free weights.

Group Exercise classes include aqua aerobics, step aerobics, power yoga, pilates, muscle toning, kickboxing, ab lab, Dancefit class and much more. Alumni Members receive a 30% discount off the regular pricing of $115 session (4 months) or $295 year.

The UConn Co-Op invites members of the UConn Alumni Association to come in and shop at any of our campus locations or at HuskyShop II in the Hartford Civic Center. You are automatically enrolled in your local alumni chapter, with a portion of your dues allocated to support chapter activities. If you live outside of CT, we have numerous regional chapters throughout the US. If no chapter exists in your area, contact the Alumni Association for information about starting one.
