Husk-E-News, May 2008

On April 9th, the Women’s Leadership Council sponsored a showing of “Running in High Heels”, a documentary about one women’s run for New Your State Senate, and followed with a panel discussion about women’s involvement in the political process.

The panel shared their personal stories and offered their perspectives on the importance of change in politics, and how women can begin to make a difference by standing up and standing out.

The event was held at the UConn Stamford campus, and attended by over 40 alumni and students. The UCAA thanks the panelists and the Stamford campus for hosting the event. It was a great success!
