Husk-E-News: April 2008

In an effort to recognize the outstanding contributions of our alumni volunteer groups, the UConn Alumni Association created the U-Awards Program in 2003. The 6th Annual U-Awards will be presented to chapters, constituent societies and affinity groups that have distinguished themselves through exceptional program offerings at this year's Annual Meeting of the Alumni Association on June 7, 2008.

Help recognize the outstanding contributions of our alumni volunteer groups by nominating one of them for a U-Award!

The following awards will be presented:

  • The U-Learn Award
This will be awarded to the group that organizes the most outstanding career or life-networking program. These programs include career networking and professional development programs, life networking opportunities, and/or lifelong learning/continuing education offerings.
  • The U-Pride Award
This will be awarded to the group that organizes the most outstanding social program. These programs include social gatherings, sports related events and cultural activities.
  • The U-Serve Award
This will be awarded to the group that organizes the most outstanding community service program. This award is offered in addition to our Outstanding Husky Service Month Project Award. The U-Serve Award will recognize an outstanding service program regardless of when it is offered.
