How do I send an email from my permanent email address?
While UConn and the UConn Alumni Association do not provide an email server for you to send emails from, there are many ways you can setup your existing email account to reflect your UConn Alumni permanent email address. Most email software clients (Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc...) and web-based email providers (gmail, yahoo, etc...) have an option which allows you to set the "From" or "Reply-To" email address.
You can find information on setting up several different email clients here.

How do I check messages sent to my permanent email address?
The permanent email address that we provide for you is called a forwarder. This means that emails sent to your permanent email address are then relayed (or forwarded) to your personal email account. This process is transparent and happens almost instantly. Simply log into your personal email account that you chose when setting up your permanent email address to see all the messages sent to you.
