"The Rock" Ceremony - 4:00 pm
Storrs Campus, corner of North Hillside Road and Alumni Drive

UConn is bringing back "The Rock"! “The Rock” – aka “North Campus Rock,” “Signal Rock,” “North Campus Bulletin Board” – was first painted in 1950. It became a coveted tradition at UConn among students, most notably fraternities and sororities, and it is estimated to have been painted over 1,200 during its time on campus.

During Homecoming Week, The Rock will officially be welcomed back to campus with a special ceremony starting at 4:00pm. We invite all those who remember the Rock to come and help us "paint it" at its rededication. An informal reception will follow at the Alumni Center at 4:30pm.

Were you one of the students who painted The Rock? Visit the official Rock website and share your stories and photos.
