Dr. Marijke Kehrhahn is the recipient of the UConn Alumni Association Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award (Graduate) for her exceptional work with graduate students. She is the Director of Teacher Education at the Neag School of Education and an Associate Professor in UConn’s Adult Learning Program. She has been praised for her commitment to helping graduate students on a one-on-one basis, as well as for her outstanding teaching methods which facilitate, guide, and promote higher levels of thinking and inquiry. She also moves beyond the classroom walls to enhance learning, working with Glastonbury Public Schools in Fall 2007 to craft a district wide professional development approach based on the principles of adult learning. In addition to her work in the Adult Learning Program, Kehrhahn guides the work of 120 graduate students in the Integrated Bachelor/Masters Teacher Preparation program.
