At the Center for Science and Technology Commercialization (CSTC) UCONN faculty take the first step down an adventurous and satisfying path to see their inventions benefit industry, the University and their neighbors. CSTC evaluates faculty inventions from the physical sciences and the life sciences, protecting and licensing those with potential commercial value. Revenue generated is shared between the inventor and the university. Just this year CSTC’s Donna Cyr helped IMS professor Greg Sotzing identify a unique application in home décor for his conductive polymers, and Greg Gallo helped CANR professor Mark Brand see his new plant variety, Ruby Ribbons, enter the marketplace.
