Annette is a 1976 graduate of the University of CT (CLAS) where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Political Science. She is employed by the State of CT., Department of Social Services (DSS) in the Waterbury Regional Office.
Annette was elected and served on the National UCONN Alumni Association Board of Directors from June 2002 through June 2008. During this time, she held the positions of Secretary, Third, Second and First Vice President and served on the Executive and Ad-Hoc Committees. She served as Chair and/or Co-Chair for the Scholarship Committee and the Outreach & Programs Committee, the Veteran’s Memorial Committee, Committee on Diversity & Opportunity, Membership & Marketing Committee, Awards Committee, Women’s Leadership Council, and remains on several to the present time.
Since 2007, she has been an alumni mentor UConn student leaders through the “Leadership Legacy Experience,” which was established to recognize the University’s most exceptional student leaders to participate in a year-long leadership enhancement experience that builds on their legacy as University leaders and helps prepare them for a life of commitment and contribution beyond graduation.
She was appointed as a member to the Advisory Committee for the UCONN Magazine in November 1999, which changed its format to the current major university publication. Prior to being elected to the National Board of Directors, she held the positions of Vice-President and President of the Northwest Hills Chapter of the UCONN Alumni Association and was instrumental in re-establishing the chapter in 1996.
